RPI Beadbeater With 1 Pound 0.5 mm Beads

Unique BeadBeater provides a safe and efficient method for disrupting cell and tissue samples. Designed for sample quantities up to 100 g (wet weight) in 200 ml of medium. Ideal for grinding and homogenizing cells and difficuLt to digest samples. Unit features a Teflon rotor that creates a shearing action using minute glass beads. Cells can be 90% disrupted in less than three minutes.

Supplied complete with 350 ml polycarbonate chamber, one pound of glass beads (0.5 mm), motor base, ice-water jacket and instructions.

Optional small chambers are available for use with reduced sample volumes. Chambers have a working volume of 15ml and 50ml and a maximum sample size of 7g and 12g respectively.
