Cayman Autotaxin Blocking Peptide

Product Description
To be used in conjunction with Cayman’s autotaxin polyclonal antibody (Item No. ) to block protein-antibody complex formation during immunochemical analysis of lyso-PLD. Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) is an extracellular signaling lipid that evokes multiple biological functions including induction of platelet aggregation, smooth muscle contraction, and stimulation of cell proliferation and chemotaxis. Lyso-PLD was first discovered as the enzyme responsible for generating LPA from lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC). It was later revealed to be identical to an autocrine motility factor, autotaxin (ATX), which plays a role in tumor progression and metastasis., Lyso-PLD/ATX mRNA is widely expressed with highest levels found in brain, ovary, lung, intestine, and testis., Cayman’s autotaxin polyclonal antibody can be used for WB and ICC analysis for lyso-PLD on samples of human, murine, and rat origin. Other applications have not yet been tested.
