Norverapamil is the N-demethylated metabolite of verapamil (Item No. ), an L-type calcium channel blocker and P-glycoprotein inhibitor. It is the major active metabolite of verapamil with approximately 20% efficacy of its parent with regard to vasodilatory activity. Norverapamil has been shown to inhibit mycobacterial efflux pumps and the expansion of M. tuberculosis-specific T cells.
