Description:

Mycophenolic Acid is an immunosuppressive agent that inhibits inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase. It selectively inhibits lymphocyte proliferation by blocking the enzyme, inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase, part of in the guanosine monophosphate pathway.

Mycophenolic acid has been tested extensively in renal transplant patients and has been shown to be effective in reducing the incidence of acute graft rejection.

Applications:
