General Description

Fluorocult^®Lauryl sulfate broth + MUG (acc. ISO 11866 and FDA-BAM) is used to examineEscherichia coliin food, milk, and milk products. The lauryl sulfate inhibits the growth of undesirable microbial flora. The presence ofE. coliis indicated by fluorescence under a long-wavelength UV lamp. A positive indole reaction and gas formation due to the fermentation of lactose confirm the results.
