Endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) is an enzyme responsible for producing nitric oxide (NO) in blood vessels. NO is a crucial signaling molecule that promotes vasodilation, thereby regulating blood pressure and maintaining vascular homeostasis. eNOS activity is regulated by multiple factors, including calcium levels and phosphorylation status. Dysfunction of eNOS and altered NO production are associated with various cardiovascular diseases, such as hypertension and atherosclerosis.

The AlphaLISA SureFire Ultra Human Phospho-eNOS (Ser1177) Detection Kit is a sandwich immunoassay for the quantitative detection of phospho-eNOS (Ser1177) in cellular lysates, using Alpha Technology.
