Revvity AKT, also known as protein kinase B, is a crucial regulator of several physiological functions, including as transcription, apoptosis, glucose metabolism, and cell survival. It has been demonstrated that AKTs three closely related isoforms-AKT1, AKT2, and AKT3-act on both common and unusual downstream targets. Many triggers can cause AKT to become activated, at which point it is delivered to the membrane to be phosphorylated. AKT phosphorylation of Thr308 by PDK1 and Ser473 by mTORC2 initiates activation.
