Revvity Angiopoietin-like 4 (ANGPTL4), also known as HFARP, PGAR, or FIAF, is a 55 kDa glycoprotein that is structurally related to the angiopoietin family. It is secreted by the liver and fat tissue, and contains an N-terminal coiled-coil domain, and taC-terminal fibrinogen-like domain. Angiopoietin-like 4 plays a role in lipoprotein metabolism and angiogenesis. It is also involved in numerous cancers and is implicated in the metastatic process by modulating vascular permeability, cancer cell motility and invasiveness. Revvity AlphaLISA technology allows the detection of molecules of interest in a no-wash, highly sensitive, quantitative assay. In an AlphaLISA assay, a biotinylated anti-analyte antibody binds to the Streptavidin-coated Donor beads while another anti-analyte antibody is conjugated to AlphaLISA Acceptor beads. In the presence of the analyte, the beads come into close proximity.
