Revvity AlphaLISA technology allows the detection of molecules of interest in buffer, cell culture media, serum and plasma in a highly sensitive, quantitative, reproducible and user-friendly mode. In an AlphaLISA assay, a Biotinylated Anti-Analyte Antibody binds to the Streptavidin-coated Alpha Donor beads, while another Anti-Analyte Antibody is conjugated to AlphaLISA Acceptor beads. In the presence of the analyte, the beads come into close proximity. Revvity Interleukin 4 (IL4), also known as B Cell Stimulatory Factor 1, is an anti-inflammatory glycoprotein of 129 amino acids. It is produced by a variety of cells including Th2, mast cells, and basophils. IL4 acts on hematopoietic cells and promotes class switching to IgE via binding to type 1 IL4 receptor. A high level of IL4 has been associated with an increased production of IgE and allergy. This cytokine suppresses IFN-γ and IL-8 production.
