Revvity AlphaLISA technology allows the detection of molecules of interest in buffer, cell culture media, serum and plasma in a highly sensitive, quantitative, reproducible and user-friendly mode. In an AlphaLISA assay, a Biotinylated Anti-Analyte Antibody binds to the Streptavidin-coated Alpha Donor beads, while another Anti-Analyte Antibody is conjugated to AlphaLISA Acceptor beads. In the presence of the analyte, the beads come into close proximity. Revvity Interleukin 12 (p70) (IL12 (p70)) is a disulfide-linked heterodimeric cytokine formed of 2 subunits, one of 35 kDa and the other of 40 kDa, and is produced mainly by monocytes, macrophages, B-lymphocytes, and dendritic cells. This cytokine plays a central role in promoting the differentiation of naive CD4+ T cells into mature TH1 effector cells and is a potent stimulus for NK cells and CD8+ T cells to produce IFN-γ. IL12 appears to play a major role in auto-immune disease, in the resistance to bacterial and parasitic infections, in antiviral responses, and in the promotion of antitumor immunity.
