Revvity BRD9 (Bromodomain-containing protein 9) is closely related to Bromodomain-containing protein 7 (BRD7), both of which are members of the Bromodomain-containing Proteins Family IV. BRD9 binds acetylated lysine residues of histones, mediating chromatin remodeling and regulating transcription and is therefore involved in pluripotency regulation and cell development. BRD9 overexpression is associated with neurodevelopmental disorders and cancers, such as acute myeloid leukemia. Targeting BRD9 degradation with PROTAC molecules has emerged as a novel therapeutic approach.
