Cell Line Description
A Rauscher virus induced erythroid leukaemia cell line. It is known to produce low amounts of Rauscher virus (a murine leukaemia virus).

Tumourigenicity and virus studies: Rauscher virus
Culture Medium
DMEM or RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculture Routine
Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. Let the cell culture media become acidic before sub-culturing/freezing. Limited lifespan in vitro, therefore a master bank should be frozen as soon as possible, of at least 10 ampoules.
