Cell Line Description
The antibody is directed against the glycoprotein 2BII of Chlamydomonas reinhardii. Binding is lost after acid hydrolysis or de-glycosylation of 2BII. AFRC MAC 8 antibody shows similar specificity and properties to AFRC MAC 6, 7, 9, 10 and 11.

Culture Medium
DMEM + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)
Subculture Routine
Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. These cells require mouse macrophage feeder layers upon resuscitation
