Cell Line Description
Derived from the ascitic fluid from a 64 year old caucasian female with an ovarian tumour. Forms moderately well-differentiated adenocarcinoma consistent with ovarian primary cells.
Application
SK-OV-3 cell line from humans has been used to study chimeric adenoviruses of Ad5 (species C) displaying proteins of the naturally enteric Ad40 (species F) as vectors for gene delivery.[1]
