Takara Cellartis® Msc Ev Wonder™
Cellartis® MSC EV Wonder™ is a chemically definedxeno-free medium designed for the efficient production of extracellular vesicles (EVs) from human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). It consists of Cellartis MSC EVBasal Medium and Cellartis MSC EV Supplement, combined at a 1:20 ratio to create the complete medium. This product supports robust EV yield, high purity, and reproducibility across MSC sources, including bone marrow (BM-MSCs), adipose tissue (AD-MSCs), and umbilical cord (UC-MSCs). Its phenol red–free formulation makes it ideal for downstream analysis and EV-based research. This medium is a great choice for scientists seeking consistency, scalability, and functional EV output in advanced research applications.
Improved EV production over competitor medium as measured by NanoFCM.MSCs were cultured in Cellartis MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium, followed by EV production with Cellartis MSC EV Wonder for five days. A ninefold increase in particle concentration was observed with MSC EV Wonder as compared to DMEM.
Improved EV production detected using canonical EV surface markers CD9 and CD81.Percentages indicate CD9⁺/CD81⁺ double-positive particles. When MSCs were cultured in Cellartis MSC XF medium and EVs produced using MSC EV Wonder, approximately 97% of particles were CD9⁺/CD81⁺ double positive (as measured by NanoFCM), indicating a high degree of EV purity. These results confirm the ability of MSC EV Wonder to support the generation of well-defined, high-quality vesicles suitable for downstream applications.
Consistent production of well-defined EVs.The mean particle size is approximately 65–70 nm, matching the expected size and round morphology of EVs. These results highlight the reliability of the protocol for generating uniform and high-quality MSC-derived EVs.
Improved EV production over competitor medium detected using EV surface marker CD63.EVs produced using Cellartis MSC EV Wonder show a significantly higher signal for CD63, a key exosomal marker associated with vesicle identity and functional potential. MSC EV Wonder demonstrated increased CD63 expression (as measured by ELISA) compared to a leading commercial medium, confirming superior exosome quality and marker abundance.
