SyntIV Expression plasmid of codon-optimized human soluble CD4

SyntIV A plasmid for high level expression of human soluble CD4 in mamlian cells. The plasmid contains the puromycin resistance gene and can be used for transient or stable expression. Human CD4 is expressed on human CD4+ T cells, and at very low levels on human Macrophages. The CD4 protein interacts with MHC Class II presenting a specific peptide as part of the immune response and serves as the receptor for HIV-1 entry into the target cells. SyntIV human soluble CD4 contains contains 363 amino acids that include the 4 extracellular domains of the full-length CD4 protein. The sCD4 has a calculated molecular weight of 40,403 Da, and on SDS-PAGE Gel under reducing conditions it migrates with an apparent molecular mass of approximately 45-55 kDa due to glycosylation.
