SyntIV Expression plasmid of gp120 of strain AD8 of human immunodefieicny virus type 1

SyntIV A plasmid of high level expression of HIV-1 gp120 of strain AD8. The plasmid contaions the puromycin resistance gene and can be used for transient or stable expression. Strain AD8 can infect both CD4+ T cells and Macrophages. HIV-1 envelope glycoproteins (Envs) mediate HIV-1 entry and they are assembled into a trimer on the viral particle; each unit of the trimer contains the surface gp120 protein non-covalently associated with the transmembrane gp41 protein. HIV-1 AD8 Envs are well expressed, highly stable, and commonly used in non-human primate models of HIV-1 infection. The protein contains 475 amino acids and has a calulated molecular weight of 53,418 Da. Due to intensive glycosylations, gp120 migrates with apparent molecular mass of approximately 120 kDa, 20 micrograms - SIV (Additional S&H or Hazmat Fees May Apply)
