General description
The CELSTIR Spinner Flask is made from borosilicate glass 3.3 and is designed for suspension cell culture applications with a magnetic stirrer. It features an adjustable paddle blade impeller that enhances mixing efficiency while ensuring a sterile environment, as the stirrer shaft does not extend through the cap. The flask has a 1:1 headspace ratio for optimal gas exchange, and its bottom dimple design improves circulation and reduces cell accumulation in the center. Additionally, the jacketed flasks allow for precise temperature control through a hose connection suitable for 0.25" (6.35mm ID) tubing, and the entire unit can be autoclaved at 121°C for effective sterilization.
