Application

as a substrate for measuring choline oxidase enzyme activity using fluorescence measurements[2]
as a component of non-physiological buffers for testing calcium based inhibition of cytochrome c oxidaseP[3]
as a component of perfusate solution for studying arterial pressure in jejunum samples[4]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Choline chloride treatment of radish seeds modulates phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine levels.[5] It elicits hepatoprotective effects and modulates methyl carbon based metabolic pathways.[6]
