PhenoVue anti-IBA1 antibody is an unconjugated monoclonal mouse antibody and is part of the PhenoVue Microglia Differentiation Staining Kit. It specifically recognizes human IBA1 protein which is a protein predominantly expressed by macrophages and microglia. IBA1 expression is upregulated during microglia activation and in response to nerve injury, CNS ischemia, or certain brain diseases. It is widely used as a key marker to distinguish microglia from other CNS cells such as neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes.
PhenoVue anti-IBA1 antibody is validated for use in imaging and high-content analysis applications.
