The GIP receptor is a member of the Class B GPCR family. GIPR is activated by Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide (GIP) known as glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide. GIP has numerous physiologic actions, including stimulation of glucagon and insulin release by pancreatic islet cells.
This HEK293 stable cell line expresses the GIP receptor fused to a SNAP-Tag. Labeled with Terbium, the cells can be used in a Tag-lite receptor binding protocol.
