Ca2+ /calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaM kinase II or CaMKII) is a serine/threonine-specific protein kinase that is regulated by the Ca2+/calmodulin complex. CaMKII is involved in many signaling cascades and is thought to be an important mediator of learning and memory. CaMKII is also necessary for Ca2+ homeostasis and reuptake in cardiomyocytes, chloride transport in epithelia, positive T-cell selection, and CD8 T-cell activation.

The AlphaLISA SureFire Ultra Human and Mouse Total CaMKII Detection Kit is a sandwich immunoassay for the quantitative detection of total CaMKII in cellular lysates, using Alpha Technology.

Formats:

• The HV (high volume) kit contains reagents to run 100 wells in 96-well format, using a 60 μL reaction volume.
• The 500-point kit contains enough reagents to run 500 wells in 384-well format, using a 20 μL reaction volume.
