RNA binding motif protein 39 (RBM39), also known as CAPERα, HCC1, and RNPC2, is an RNA binding protein (RBP) and splicing factor that plays a role in maintaining transcript variant homeostasis. RBM39 promotes exon inclusion via regulation of exon cassette splicing and is a transcriptional coactivator for steroid nuclear receptors ESR1/ER-alpha, ESR2/ER-beta, and JUN/AP-1, independently of the pre-mRNA splicing factor activity. RBM39 has been deemed essential for cancer cell survival and is associated with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myeloma malignancy, breast cancer, and lung cancer.
The AlphaLISA SureFire Human and Mouse Total RBM39 Detection Kit is a sandwich immunoassay for the quantitative detection of total RBM39 in cellular lysates, using Alpha Technology.
