Also called IP-10 (interferon gamma-induced protein 10) or small-inducible cytokine B10, CXCL10 is a chemokine secreted by monocytes, fibroblasts, and endolial cells in response to IFN gamma. IP-10s main effect is to promote cell migration through Calcium signaling. Target cells include macrophages, T cells, NK cells, and dendritic cells. CXCL10 has significant anti-tumor effects, as well as anti-angiogenic effects.
