Also called GRO alpha, KC NAP-3 (neutrophil activating protein 3), or MGSA-alpha (melanoma growth stimulating activity alpha), CXCL1 is a member of CXC chemokine family. Mainly expressed by macrophages, CXCL1 attracts neutrophils and is involved in angiogenesis, inflammation, and tumorigenesis.
