Electron Microscopy Sciences Phenylmethanesulfonyl fluoride (pmsf) acts as an inhibitor. Used in multiply applications such as, lysis buffering to assist in preserving proteins during protein isolations, inhibitor of serine protease, cholesterol esterase and pseudocholinesterase, collection of blood prior to centrifugation to quantity plasma anp levels, and cell fractionation.
