General Description

A highly potent agonist of GABA_Breceptor. Depresses excitatory postsynaptic potentials mediated by glutamate in the striatum, and hyperpolarized neurones in the substantia nigra (IC₅₀= 92 nM). Shown to be about 10-times more potent than baclofen (Cat. No. 505873). Induces vasodepression in pulmonary vascular bed that is modulated by an ATP-sensitive K+ channel. Induces gastric acid secretion in a dose-dependent manner (0.01 - 3 mg/kg, i.v.) in mice.A highly potent agonist of GABA_Breceptor.
