Constructed with reinforced textile and a smooth inner surface, the Tygon® 2474 I.B. tubing is able to withstand higher pressure applications such as single use UF/DF and chromatography systems. The tubing is formulated without the addition of softening agents, reducing potential contamination of sensitive fluids in biopharmaceutical applications.

Due to the absence of plasticizers, the tubing can stand up to aggressive acids, bases, and solvents that would react with or extract plasticizer from a standard PVC tube. The clear tubing allows you to visually inspect the fluid path to ensure consistency of flow. The tubing has a lower gas permeation than standard silicone tubing, allowing you to protect sensitive fluids from oxidation.

In addition, the tubing reduces wetting of aqueous substances allowing for higher recovery of fluids, reduces microbial buildup, and has very low absorption of aqueous substances.

Applications include deionized water systems, aseptic fill lines, cell harvest and media processing, water for injection transport, preservative fill lines, chromatography and UF/DF systems, pharmaceutical and cosmetic processing, and chemical transfer.
