The Argos Technologies® cryogenic barcode scanner quickly scans 2D data matrix barcodes and 1D barcodes such as code 128, code 39, and more. Scan and decode in less than one second with no additional software required, simply output the scanned barcode directly into any open application accepting keyboard input. Simply hover a tube over the scanning window, or place it in the single tube holder, and the scanner sounds a beep and flashes an LED light to indicate that the scan was successful.

The compact footprint makes the device suitable even for crowded spaces, and enables efficient laboratory layout. The rugged metal chassis and glass scanning port allow for use in a range of lab environments. If moving tubes is not possible, the scanner can turn on its side to decode the barcode extending the utility of the device.
