Cooling Workstation ice-free systems are bench top cooling workstations that provide sample cooling or freezing without ice, electricity or batteries. Cooling Workstation systems are versatile & accommodate a variety of sample formats & temperatures. The modular design enables the use of Thermoconductive Rack sample modules to hold microfuge tubes, cryogenic vials, PCR tubes or plates, & more.

Key Features:

Secure Sample Preparation:

• Operates without ice, batteries or electricity
• Keeps samples cold at a uniform 0.5 to 4.0°C for up to 16 hours
• Keeps samples frozen (<0°C) for up to 8 hours
• The built-in 1-8ºC temperature indicator provides visual assurance of operational temperature while working

Broad Compatibility:

• Versatile: accommodates most Thermoconductive Rack modules
• Small footprint ideal for use in the hood especially in keeping temperature sensitive solutions cold
• To extend the cooling/freezing duration, keep an additional Cooling/Freezing Core in the freezer & replace the cartridge as needed

How it Works: Ease of Use:

• Freeze the Cooling/Freezing Core in -20°C freezer
• Place frozen core in base/holder
• Rest Thermoconductive Rack module on cartridge
• Module will equilibrate & maintain temperature via thermo-conductivity
• To extend the cooling/freezing duration, keep an additional Cooling/Freezing Core in the freezer & replace the core as needed
• Dry ice may be used in place of the cores to create a compact snap freezing workstation
