Eisco Labs Iron Clad Electromagnet - Battery Powered, Up To 100lbs.

The EISCO Iron Clad Electromagnet is made up of two parts: the core which houses the battery compartment and the electromagnet, and the yoke which is made of iron, a strong ferromagnet.

The lower section of the core houses the electromagnet.  When supplied with electricity, one can connect the flat bottom surface of the yoke to the flat bottom surface of the core.

The iron yoke will not retain a strong magnetic field after being attached and magnetized by the connected core.  ont-family: -apple-system-font; font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; line-height: 16px;">The electromagnet in the core will retain some magnetic properties after being disconnected.  Strong enough to suspend the yoke, but not support any more force or weight (the yoke weighs 0.8 lbs).
