Thomson Instrument Company developed the Rapid Clear Cap to address the needs of scientists to quickly and efficiently clarify cell culture media. This unique product screws directly onto the Optimum Growth™ 5L Flask or to a storage container with a Luer lock. One Rapid Clear Cap will clarify 3L of cell culture in less than 35 minutes via depth filtration with a 0.2μm final pore size. Rapid Clear eliminates multiple filtration steps, centrifugation in most cases, reduce consumables used by up to 90% and is part of the Optimum Growth™ System. This system consists of high efficiency standard and specialty flasks, transfer caps and the Rapid Clear Cap. The modular design of this system allows components to be used interchangeably and features flasks with a unique low shear baffle design which increases aeration while maintaining cell viability and improving yields.
