Thomson Instrument Company’s Optimum Growth® Flasks are available in 125mL, 250mL, 500mL, 1.6L, 2.8L, and our popular 5L sizes for mammalian and insect cell culture. The modular design of this system allows components to be used interchangeably and assures that small scale bioprocessing projects remain c-GMP compliant. The shake flasks are designed to hold up to 2x more cell culture media compared to traditional shake flasks, greatly increasing shaker efficiency. The Optimum Growth® System consists of high efficiency standard and specialty flasks, transfer caps and the Rapid Clear® Cap for cell culture clarification available for the 5L only. These flasks feature a unique low shear baffle design which increases aeration while maintaining cell viability and improving yields. Each flask includes a 0.2µm vented cap, a one-way valve port for sampling, and an open port for feeding. These products are individually packaged and sterilized for immediate use.
