Our gel drying frames use the simple and proven technique of natural air drying. Place the gel between two sheets of our highly porous cellophane, clamp gel between frame, then allow to dry overnight. Gels can be preserved almost indefinitely and remain instantly available for photography. This method is recommended for gels up to 1.5mm thick. Each frame set includes corrosion proof stainless steel binders.
Ideal for Antibiotic Screening
Cellophane (SKU 1080) is autoclavable and commonly used for surface growth of plants (1), mold spores and mushrooms. Cellophane allows small molecuLes, nutrients and antibiotics to pass through for screening.
