GenScript Protein G Magbeads; 2mL (0.5 mL Settled Beads)

Intended Use
GenScript ProteinG MagBeads are ideal for small-scale antibodypurification.

Principle
The samplecontaining antibody is added to the Protein G MagBeads. The antibody will bindto beads during a short incubation. Then the beads-bound antibody can be elutedfrom the beads by using a magneticseparation rack. Magnetic separation eliminates the changes of micro tubes, minimizes the loss of sample and removes excessive steps of traditionalcentrifugation method.

Material Supplied
GenScriptProtein G MagBeads are super paramagnetic beads of average 45±5 μm in diameter, covalently coated withrecombinant Protein G. The beads are supplied as 25%slurry in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.4, containing 20% ethanol. TheProtein G MagBeads have a binding capacity of more than 10 mg Goat IgG per 1 ml settled beads (e.g. 4ml 25% slurry).
Protein G,a bacterial cell wall protein isolated from group G Streptococci, binds tomammalian IgGs mainly through Fc regions. Native Protein G has three IgG binding domains and also the sites foralbumin and cell-surface binding. Albumin and cell-surface binding domains havebeen eliminated from recombinant Protein G to reduce nonspecific binding.Protein G has greater affinity than Protein A for most mammalian IgGs,especially for certain subclasses including human IgG3, mouse IgG1 and rat IgG2a. Unlike Protein A, Protein G does not bindto human IgM, IgD and IgA.

Storage and Stability
This product is stable until the expiration datestated on the COA,when stored unopened at 2–8°C. Do NOT freeze the product. Keep the MagBeadsin liquid suspension during storage and all handling steps. Drying will causeloss of binding capacity and result in reduced performance. Resuspend the beadswell before use. Be careful to avoid bacterial/fungal contamination.
