Takara NucleoSpin 8 RNA Blood \12 x 8 Preps

The NucleoSpin 8 RNA Blood kit is designed for purifying RNA from fresh or frozen whole blood in an 8 well-strip format. Samples are lysed in chaotropic salts, which immediately inactivate RNases present in virtually all biological materials and create binding conditions favoring adsorption of RNA to the silica membrane in each well. Contaminating DNA, which is also bound to the silica membrane, is removed by the recombinant DNase solution. Samples can be processed using either vacuum or centrifugation. NucleoSpin 8 RNA Blood typically yields 1–8 µg of total RNA from 400-µl inputs, and enables processing of 48 samples (6 strips) in 1 hour.

High-quality RNA.RNA was isolated from 400-µl aliquots of fresh whole blood from three individual blood samples using NucleoSpin 8 RNA Blood. Electropherograms were obtained with an Agilent Bioanalyzer 2100 using RNA Nano 6000 reagents. The RNA integrity number (RIN) ranged from 8.0 to 8.30.
