Millipore This Anti-Btg3 Antibody Is Validated For Use In Western Blotting And Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) For The Detection Of Btg3. - Mill (Additional S&H or Hazmat Fees May Apply)
BTG3 is a tumor suppression protein because overexpression impairs serum-induced cell cycle progression from G0/G1 to the S phase in vitro. BTG3 is often down regulated in cancer cell lines, and thus BTG3 is a target for enhanced cancer therapy. In normal cells BTG3 inhibits cell proliferation, cell invasion, and angiogenesis, and also regulates cell-cycle progression and differentiation in a variety of cell types. Developmentally BTG3 is normally expressed primarily in the brain and CNS during development where is modulates cell proliferation. In the adult expression is high in ovary, testis, prostate, thymus and lung. It is not expressed strongly in many cancers.
