(ventana) ish negative control is to be used as an unassayed control for the qualitative determination of background noise within the specimen sample under investigation. this product is recommended for use as a negative reagent control for ventana fluorescent in situ hybridization (fish) or chromogenic in situ hybridization (ish) probes. this reagent is appropriate for use with formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissue or cytological specimen slides on the Benchmarkk series automated slide stainers. fluorescence microscopy is used to detect the fish hybridization reaction, while light microscopy is used to detect the ish staining reaction. background assessment aids in the classification of normal and abnormal specimens, and serve as an adjunct to conventional histopathology tests. the clinical interpretation of any staining, or the absence of staining, must be complemented by morphological studies and evaluation of proper controls. evaluation must be made by a qualified pathologist within the context of the patients clinical history and other diagnostic tests. prescription only. this reagent is intended for in vitro diagnostic (ivd) use. - ROCHMSD (Additional S&H or Hazmat Fees May Apply)
