General Description

Purospher® STAR Phenyl, 2 µM UHPLC columns are the best alternative to RP-8 or RP-18 columns for the high-resolution separation of aromatic compounds, and compounds containing aromatic groups. Purospher^®STAR Phenyl can retain analytes via several different mechanisms, including ο-ο interactions between the overlap of the delocalized electrons on the analyte and the stationary phase phenyl group, and via partitioning between the mobile phase and the hydrophobic aryl-alkyl phase. Our Purospher^®STAR Phenyl columns are based on highpurity silica particles, which provide symmetrical peaks for basic compounds, as well as high stability and excellent reproducibility.
