General Description

Chromolith® columns are made of monolithic silica with a characteristic bimodal pore structure.

Chromolith^®Flash RP-18 endcapped columns have macropores with 2 μm diameter, giving a column efficiency exceeding 80,000 plates/meter. The mesopores are 13 nm (130 Å), the surface modification is octadecylsilane with full end-capping. Chromolith^®Flash RP-18 endcapped columns fall under the USP L1 Classification. The column efficiency is comparable to a 5 μm particle size fully porous particulate column. Chromolith^®Flash RP-18 endcapped columns are perfectly suitable for LC-MS applications.
The column dimension of 25 mm length and 4.6 mm I.D. is the best choice for very rapid separations on any HPLC System.

Application

• Rapid Determination of 30 Polyphenols in Tongmai Formula:This study utilized the Chromolith^®RP-18 endcapped column in a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry setup to analyze 30 polyphenolic compounds in a traditional Chinese medicine formula, demonstrating its application in pharmaceutical analysis and quality control of complex herbal formulations (Wang et Al., 2017).
