General Description

A selective 5-HT_2Cserotonin receptor inhibitor with lesser affinity for 5-HT_2BR. Often used in conjunction with ketanserin to distinguish 5-HT_2AR and 5-HT_2CR activity. SB206553 has highest affinity for 5-HT_2CR (K_i= 3.2nM) and less for 5-HT_2BR (K_i= 5.5 nM) and 5-HT_2AR (K_i= 2,300 nM).A selective 5-HT_2Cserotonin receptor inhibitor with lesser affinity for 5-HT_2BR.
