Millipore Use Anti-Gal4 (Activation Domain) Antibody (Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody) Validated In Wb To Detect Gal4 (Activation Domain) Also Known As Regulatory Protein Gal4. - Mill (Additional S&H or Hazmat Fees May Apply)
GAL4 is a transcriptional activator which controls the expression of genes involved in the catabolism of galactose. In addition to a DNA-binding domain, Gal4 contains two acidic regions: activating region I (aa148-238) and activating region II (aa768-881), which can both activate transcription when independently joined to the DNA-binding domain. The activation domains of Gal4 have been shown to interact with Gal80, TBP, SUG1, and ADA2, among other general transcription factors.

Quality Assurance
Evaluated by Western Blot in Gal4 positive and Gal4 negative yeast cell lysate.
Western Blot Analysis: A 1:160,000 dilution of this antibody detected Gal4 in 5 mg of Gal4 positive (+ recombinant Gal4) yeast cell lysate. This antibody also detected small mounts of endogenous Gal4 in Gal4 negative (- recombinant Gal4) yeast cell lysate.
