The CpGenome™ Rat Unmethylated Genomic DNA Standard is ideal for use as a control or standard in DNA methylation studies. This unmethylated standard is generated using multiple strand displacement amplification of rat genomic DNA using Phi29 DNA polymerase. This process results in a DNA standard which contains ≥ 95% unmethylated cytosines across the genome in both heterochromatic and euchromatic regions.

Storage Conditions
Upon receipt aliqout and store at -20°C to avoid multiple freeze thaws which can fragment DNA. For best quality, limit freeze and thaw of the same –20°C DNA aliquot to no more than 3 times. For longer term storage, the DNA can be stored at -80°C. With proper storage and protection from excess freeze-thaw cycles, this product is stable for up to two years from the date of receipt.
