Miltenyi Biotec Clone REA1093 recognizes the human MART-1 protein, also known as Melan-A, which is an 18 kD transmembrane protein and expressed in cells of melanocytic lineage. MART-1 is expressed by a large proportion of melanomas and by melanoma cell lines.
