Miltenyi Biotec Clone MWReg30 recognizes the mouse CD41 antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein also known as integrin a2b or GPIIb. CD41 associates with CD61 to form the heterodimeric gpIIb/gpIIIa complex that is present on megakaryocytes, platelets, and early hematopoietic progenitors. The CD41/CD61 complex is a receptor for several adhesion molecules such as fibronectin, fibrinogen, plasminogen, and vitronectin and mediates platelets aggregation.
