Miltenyi Biotec Clone REA195 recognizes CD96, which is also known as T cell–activated increased late expression (TACTILE). CD96 is a single-pass transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the Ig superfamily and consists of three extracellular Ig-like domains and a membrane proximal region rich in proline/serine/threonine. Expression of CD96 is found on T cells, NK cells, and on majority of CD34+CD38- acute myeloid leukemic (AML) cells. CD96 interacts with CD155, which is also known as polio virus receptor and promotes NK cell adhesion to target cells expressing CD155.
