Miltenyi Biotec Clone REAL509 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CD97 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAlease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL509 recognizes the human CD97 antigen, a member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF)-TM7 family of cell surface receptors. CD97 is expressed by various cell types of the hematopoietic system and also on smooth muscle cells. Highest constitutive expression is found on granulocytes and monocytes. Lymphocytes express CD97 at lower level (T and NK cells expressing higher levels than B cells) but on T cells CD97 is upregulated upon activation via CD3 and CD28 or PHA.
