Miltenyi Biotec Clone 8e11 recognizes the human stage-specific embryonic antigen-5 (SSEA-5) antigen, an oligosaccharide that contains the motif Fuca1-2GalB1-3GlcNAcB, also known as the H type-1 (H-1) antigen. SSEA-5 is highly and specifically expressed on undifferentiated embryonic stem cells and pluripotent stem cells.
