Miltenyi Biotec Clone REA1011 recognizes the interleukin-13 (IL-13), which is produced primarily by activated Tʜ2 cells, but also by mast cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and dendritic cells (DCs). IL-13 exerts anti-inflammatory effects on monocytes and macrophages. Furthermore, it inhibits the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1B, TNF-a, IL-6, and IL-8. IL-13 has also been shown to enhance B cell proliferation and to induce isotype switching, resulting in an increased production of IgE.
