Miltenyi Biotec Clone REA886 recognizes the human CD68 antigen, a 110 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein classified as a lysosomal/endosomal–associated membrane glycoprotein (LAMP) family member. CD68 is highly expressed by human monocytes and tissue macrophages but also found in subpopulations of B cells, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, and other cells. It is found predominantly in late endosomal and lysosomal compartments, with a modest level of cell surface expression.
